Pup, wind, and dirt

Tara sent me some more pup photos; her eyes are open now.

This is mama Bree with all the pups. I think my little one is going to look just like her mama!
It was really windy here for the last couple of days, it made it a little difficult to fill my wheel barrow to bring hay into Coyote Belle's stall, as you can see:

But one good thing about the wind; it is drying out the horse pens, so Ted was able to get them looking much better.
We have lots of plans for improvements, including building Beamer a nice shelter under the overhang where we pulled the junky old trailer out, and removing all of the manure mountain from the mares pen. The manure was so deep in these pens, and it hadn't been cleaned for many years, that it is mostly dirt now. It's what I used to build my garden. I was told that around here, you don't plant until all the snow is gone from the "x" you see on the right side of this mountain:
So I'm impatiently waiting, so I can go to Janice's greenhouse and get some flowers for my flowerbed, which is all prepped and ready.

The pups are adorable, I hate it when the wind blows like you are in a wind tunnel! Our pens are just starting to dry up in time for more rain that is on its way, will be a while before we can get things cleaned up.

That mama Bree is beautiful - wow. Your little one is going to be a pretty one. Oh, the wind... it's been blowing here fierce too. It's amazing how much the wind affects everything, isn't it?

Great...now I want a puppy....*sigh* I just had to visit your blog today didnt I!!! LOL Definitely an adorable baby! Momma is so beautiful! Our poor horse lots they stay in during the winter stay so wet I just hate it! We have to switch everyone around due to the cattle and calving, and spring time is so wet and we deal with flooding in some areas too...so far the last 2 years we have had no flooding! (cross your fingers!) This year we are making one of our barns into a horse barn only and giving them 12 acres of their own where they wont have to be moved at all....FINALLY and a big YAY! We'll just have to deal with that flooding but its 12 acres still and only a small portion of that floods so shouldnt be a big deal....hopefully that snow will melt soon! I'm anxious to get seeds in the ground too!
