This pup is Corb, (boy 4) he was the first one to have his eyes all the way open and the first one to escape the little pen I have the pups in. They are much more active now; they started yesterday opening their eyes just a little. By tomorrow they should all be able to see some. A couple more days and I'll transfer them to the fancy doghouse Ted built. (And out of my mud room!) I'll get more pics of them when they all have their eyes wide open.
I put the mares out to pasture every morning, and today Beamer got to go out into the pen the mares use; which pleased him no end; all those lovely piles of mare poop to smell!
In this photo, guess what is on his nose?

And then, of course, he has to do the flehmen posture all the better to smell it you know!

He can see the mares from this pen, so he stays much quieter; he really hates to be alone. Hmmm I wonder if he'd like to have about 4 sheep for companions? Anybody ever kept sheep with horses have any advice?

Your horses are so beautiful.
My friend has her pony together with sheeps and they go well together.
I have no answers but love the pictures.
we had our mini in with 3 sheep for a while. they got along pretty well! I'll eamil you a picture.. Not sure how it would work with a stud though.
All I know is you are going to need a different type of fencing and they crop the grass really short.Love the Beamer shots but then you knew that who couldn't.Saw the Tubs - excellent especially the bucket on wheels, can't wait to plant that one.
I know horses do OK with goats , so maybe sheep would be OK .Pup looks adorable! I always like to see Beamer shots
Goat and horses go well...I think the sheep eat the grass very short...
Great pictures! The last one made me laugh. lol!
I've kept my sheep with my mares with no problem, but never tried a stallion. Yeh, and like someone else said, electric fencing doesn't work for sheep and they will snip the grass down to the roots unless they have a lot of grazing area.
