Sammy greets the day
I took Beamer to the arena today in the early hours to try to beat the heat. There is a little horse show at the arena on the 10th, and I want to enter a few events. So; since the barrels were set up I thought, why not, and patterned him on them at a walk. Well, he was hunting the barrels on the third try, so I upped it to a trot, then a lope. He's better on his right lead, so we do the left barrel first. Dang horse was enjoying it! I might have to enter the barrel race with him. Just for fun, not to go push him real hard and make an idiot of myself.
There is a water main break in the local water system today so it's a good thing I didn't have to fill the horse tubs today. Or Shower. Or do laundry, wash dishes, etc.! It can all wait until tomorrow.
My Morden Sunrise roses are in full bloom now, I love the delicate coloring.. Well, I'm off to play with the little boy pups, Ace and Chad, soon to be known as Henry.Then it's off to work. Bah.

I so know that feeling.
I used to work on a place years ago when I had to get up and make the bosses family and hired men their breakfast. When it was ready, around 5:30 AM, Ring (the border collie) and I would walk way down to the bunk house and bang on the door to get the hired men up.
It was a magical time. I felt like I was the only one awake and that the whole world was mine alone to enjoy (well mine and Ring's).
Your roses are sure pretty. Mine are wild and they are real nice right now too.
What a neat picture of the deck with Sammi in it!! Jesse went to her new home today so we are both a little sad. but it's a great home so happy as well.

i really love early mornings as well. iam not a mid day person. i don't like the heat. i had a whopper of a headache yesterday likely because it was so hot out.
good thing i had those oils you gave me! m grain works pretty well with peppermint oil to help the pain. thanks shirley!
I couldn't agree more. I especially love the way summer mornings smell. Mmmm. :)
