Since it was so rainy here I wasn't sure I'd get good black and white photos for this week's Sunday Stills Challenge, but I persevered and had a lot of fun trying.

I also took this one of the steel wheels on our deck, I liked the contrast with the lattice behind them. And to top it off, a closeup of my gargoyle rock; look closely and you'll see why I call it a gargoyle.

Why is it when our world is so colourful that black and white photos look so good. I guess it helps us see things differently, emphasis is somewhere else when it's monochromatice. Great shots, good eye for composition
