Since I had a lot of comments on my crocs, I went to the store and asked where they got them. The answer was at the Can-Am show (for retailers),the brand name is Horsies, and the maker is Intec.
When I went to Kamloops for the family reunion, I brought back with me some things that I had given my dad years ago that he can't have in the care facility that he's living at. One of them is a pen and ink drawing I did in 1989, titled Jerry and Doll. I'ts from a photo I took at the International Draft Horse Show in Idaho. I might have to go to that show this year; it's coming up in 2 or 3 weeks, and is only 30 miles away in Bonner's Ferry. Any other bloggers going there? Let me know!

PS: The signature on the drawing is from my first marriage!

Very nice! Love the pen and ink of the drafts. I bet your Dad really treasured that all those years.
Idaho is still producing some very fine mules - Draft and saddle. Ever think of raising one?
wonderful art as always:D
Oh my shirley! you have quite a talent!
Shirley, Shirley, Shirley have you been holding out on us or WHAT?? Great work!
What a lovely talent for sketching you have there.
mj, I've always thought that Coyote Belle would make good mules.Since there is no demand for them I don't raise them; I have a good friend who does-Terry Ares-and I can always refer people to him. Linda, I still want to draw your Reata Man photo.
Wow you are sure talented! I love the drafts and would love to go to the show, but unfortunatly too much to do here.
Yes, Shirley is a very talented artist! She has lots of beautiful drawings. I always used to enjoy telling people my sister was a talented artist, a truck driver and a cowgirl!
BTW, did you know those crocs are also manufactured as knockoffs by a company called "Holy Souls"?
That drawing is just beautiful! I will have to look up those crocs!
Great pen and ink..:-)
Ooh! I adore mules!
How wonderful that this drawing was able to come back to you again. :)

I just saw your comment about no market for mules. I wish there were more mules around here.
Folks are gobbling them right up for hunting trips, search and rescue and back country horseman camp outs.
Oh and on the last ACTHA ride I was on there were at least 6 mules competing. I fell in love with the one a safety rider was riding. His name was Murphy. What a doll, and reliable, sensible and calm. I'd love to have a mule!

Nice drawing Shirley! I didn't know that about you.
Gotta love the big ears!
Lisa, what I meant is that I don't know anyone who is looking for mules, and I don't raise what I can't sell.
