Kai's new home

Sunday was moving day for the little guy, and he did everything really well. He was a little puzzled about the horse trailer, but when Ted put Chickory in he willingly followed right behind her, and I tied him in and Ted took Chicky out. He hauled well, and his temporary pen at the new home is a nice stout round pen where he can visit his new herd in safety. They tried a gelding in with him, but decided to have him by himself for a while. He is doing really well, and it won't be long before he buddies up and gets a playmate.
He got chased around by Ben, the Fjord cross gelding, but Ben wasn't mean at all. Soon they will be best buds. I'll be sure to keep you posted as he grows up.
Meanwhile, Tess has her brother Luke visiting, and I got a nice family portrait.

Lots of excitement goin' on up your way! I love the family portrait...and all the great shots of the horses. Your "boot" shots were perfect!

I'm sure Kai will have a wonderful new home, but he looks soooo tiny and alone in the trailer...It's gotta be hard to see them go. He's such a handsome guy...he'll do well in life I'm sure.

Glad to hear that the move went well and he's settling in. Kai makes the horse trailer look tiny!
