Barby returned yesterday afternoon, hung around in the trees bordering our yard. He let me stand right underneath him and talk to him. I offered him some raw meat but he wasn't interested, just flew to another tree. He hung around all afternoon, I even rode under his tree on Beamer, and he just stayed there. So I spread sunflower seeds around the perimeter of the yard to attract mice for him- if he doesn't get them, Foose will!

Speaking of visiting, we have friends from Alberta here for the weekend to help with the auction on Saturday- they're the ones who own Luke, Tess's littermate. we have so much stuff for the auction, it's crazy! We are going to be really busy.

Backhoe, tractor, seed drill, boats, campers.

Horse drawn implements, and yard decor galore

Antique furniture,

and a Singer Treadle sewing machine that works.
So much stuff that I don't have time to show it all! I am clerking the sale so I will have a long day tomorrow.

I love to come to that auction....some nice looking furniture there.....is that a quarter cut oak table in the last picture?
That's so cool that Barby came back to visit. Wish I could come to the auction, looks like some great stuff.
Waaah bid on that singer for me please!! Those things will sew forever and through anything. My mom us using her moms singer. We got it repaired for her this past Christmas and that thing over 50 years old sews better than any machine shes ever had.
so many times I've wished I lived closer to you. I have a feeling we'd hit it off great. But just looking at these auction pictures, I am momentarily glad that I don't live nearby. B/c that looks like the type of stuff that Malcolm and I couldn't resist, and I know if I were there I'd be coming to the sale.
SOOOOO neat that Barby came back for a visit. I bet you will be seeing him quite frequently, or maybe he just dropped in to say thanks and let you know he was doing well.
I know I haven't posted on this but have been reading... it is so neat that he is coming back.. Just like proving that he is so thankful for the help you guys gave him... amazing!

Great stuff. My mom had a Singer just like that one! :)

I love the shot of your owl in the trees- the leaves show how he can camouflage so well during the day.
And yes, I bet that auction must have went off well- i know I would be raising a hand frequently!
