Back on black

Happy me- I got to ride yesterday. Beamer was happy to get out of his boring pen too. I figured we had better ride before we got the big dump of snow (it's snowing this morning) so I hopped on bareback and went for a little putt.
I love his walk, he just gets out and strides with purpose. The purpose in this case was to get back to the mares as quickly as possible.....
Gotta haul wood and hay today, might be able to squeeze in another ride; I love riding through snowy fields.

a ride through the snow sounds fun! And I love riding bareback. It's amazing to feel the horse moving beneath me, and does a lot for my balance issues as well.
Wanted to let you know I shared a blog award with you today. Our blogging friendship is one of my dearest blog relationships. Thanks for sharing your beautiful horses with us and being a mentor to me!

Good for you. That is what I need to do and that is just hop up bareback for quick rides!

I miss being able to do that. With Queen Estes at winter pasture, I'm really missing being able to do that. And the weather's been so beautiful here. *sigh*

Glad you had a good ride! I've become a woooz when it comes to snow riding...or anything that involves snow! But bareback is how I used to always ride in the winters, kept my butt warm!
