Beamer was hanging out in the top corner of his pen, all relaxed.
When I got home from work I peeled off his blanket and turned him out, then spent about half an hour playing with him. He was almost too relaxed to play, but we did have a little fun. We played follow the leader, where I walked and he followed, no matter which way I went.
Of course, Reba had to follow too; she thinks the horses are her personal wards and she has to keep track of everything they do.
Then we had our little dance,
(Yes, he does need his feet trimmed! Next week!)
But he was much more content to just soak up the sun. There is supposed to be snow in the forecast but so far, the sky is still clear, just a little cloud coming up from Idaho. We could use some snow, or there will be problems this year- unless we get a lot of rain. Drought, forest fires, and low water tables are all issues of concern when the snow pack in the mountains isn't deep enough, and as you can see from these photos, there is hardly any snow in the mountains here, and none down on the flats where we live.

Perfect background for a "dancing" stallion...mountains. Snow all over would be beautiful but not so far on your end.
Sounds like fun. Chips preferred a crisp cool day for dancing , and Phoenix ,well he will dance any time for Skeeter, for me? we shall see
Nice to see a pro at work though , gotta love Mr Handsome
Love that shot of Beamer! By the way, if you see anymore snow clouds from Idaho, please blow them back down here. We're all waiting for some white stuff to play in!
Beamer looks like a movie star!
We're in the same boat here... need snow or lots of rain come spring (but then that creates other problems)
Is it just the angle of the photo (the rearing pic) or does Beamer wear his right front hoof off funny? It looks angled/slanted.
Hi Shirley, Beamer looks in good "fettle!" Mind you, being such a nice day, anyone would!
Cdn, Beamer's feet are really long right now and when that happens he tends to grow more foot on the inside and on the heels. He's way out of balance, but the farrier will be here in about a week and we'll have him lookin' pretty again.
Yep, we need snow. I don't mind it around here...it's traveling over to the other side of the state in a rental car with no snow tires that worries me. :/ Love the pictures!
Oh that Beamer should be in the movies..he looks like a star to me..too many years of watching Fury on Saturday mornings I guess..your Beamer is my favorite horse on the blogs:)
