Just a little

We did get some snow out of the system that passed through, but... just a little. Enough for Ted to get out and play with the tractor.
I think we got 3 or 4 inches, and  -5 Celcius, which is 23 Farenheit. Much warmer than Alberta, and even warmer than Cranbrook and Kimberley which are only an hour away- they had -24C. I think this is the banana belt of the Kootenays.
The horses hung out in their shelter for the last few days, so they didn't get covered with snow. Wusses.
I'm going to have to get the tractor in there today and scrape all that poo.....
Tess didn't mind the snow, just gives her softer footing for her outruns as she "helps" me do chores.
We are supposed to get a heavy snowfall tonight changing to rain tomorrow. Great- we are going to Cranbrook tomorrow, guess we'll take the 4 wheel drive.

Well, I guess one thing worse than what is expected to fall is having the rain first... then the snow!
Stay warm and safe!
Oh, and I love the poopsicles. It is so much fun to try to clean up in freezing, snowy weather!

Ha your horses are the opposite of mine, I expected them to be hanging out by the windbreak in this cold weather but they just go out grazing like its just a regular day. Wish I could ignore the cold like they do!

Lucky you. We certainly have winter here....it is so ugly..gray gray and more gray.My horses have snow - ice blankets that they have been packing around for about a week now...I'm betting they wouldn't mind shedding those.I see you have enough color there to keep you happy for awhile...beautiful.

Where are you in the Kootenays? My parents are in Creston (Wyndel actually).

Love your horses btw.

We got snow, too, and it looks like more than you. Our planned trip to Seattle was canceled yesterday because of all the ice in that area. The B & B where we stay has trees falling around it! We have it relatively good compared to them!

We finally got snow too... and ridiculous cold.

Yikes rain & snow... drive safe! (actually if you can stay home then stay home!)

Carrie- I live down on the flats of Creston between Hiway 21 and Hiway 3. Send me an email, maybe I know your folks.

Yep, Shirley, you didn't get much! Tell Ted to come plow mine, would ya? Tractor doesn't have chains so Keith couldn't do much other than clear my way out of the garage....like I'm going anywhere!
