Yesterday- the ides of January- was an absolutely gorgeous day and certainly did not feel like the middle of winter. Didn't look like it either. For all you southerners, this is particularly balmy weather for this time of year in Canada!
When I went out to do my afternoon chores, I had an entourage. The cats followed me around, and the dogs kept bringing the ball and dropping it at my feet with that pleading look that border collies have down to a fine art.
The cats were in fine form, posing and playing.

We have snow and have had the really cold temps. We had 10 below zero on Friday morning and it has been in the single digits in the mornings for the last few days!
We've only had about 3" of snow so far this year. It's 34 outside right now. Crazy winter for us. Last year at this time we had about 25" on the ground.
This is my pad, don't you go and get mum or the fireman to coem and get me down.
She was a miserable one her yesterday and today is sunny but COLD and with a breeze......not quite a wind. I need to find my winter wear and quit pretending it's fall.
