It wasn't really that cold although the morning mist makes it look that way. There is actually a theme to these two photos; the red heads are the "odd girls out". Did anyone spot the single rosy finch in the top photo?
Great shots , I have to be honest I did not see the bird at the top, had to go back and have a second look. That shot of Gussie makes me wonder , but I would love to see a straight on side shot , and one from behind up at her belly .I have a suspicuion she might be a bit like my Richie mare

Saw the pretty red finch, but couldn't take my eyes off Rio. He's so cute in his shaggy winter coat.
CatterinaX, if we keep Rio long enough, when you come visit, maybe someday your son can ride him- and Beamer!
