Yes Janice, the snow is all gone....
She was feeling pretty good, and I think it's pretty obvious now that she isn't in foal. She was attentive and once she had burned off her excess energy, was content to walk around, nice and quietly.
Love this gorgeous mare!
Then it was time to ride, so bareback and just a halter, I asked her to stand by the fence so I could We had a nice little ride, a little neck reining, sidepassing, backing, and soft whoas, and all was good- time to go get Chickory.
She did well too, happy to be out doing something different for the first time in months.
I worked her the same way, and rode her too- bareback and halter- and holy moley that girl is sensitive to legs. It won't take much to get the fine tuning on her this year. I didn't get riding video of her as I was out of battery. I took some photos, but I'm saving them for next weeks Sunday Stills.
Stay tuned- tomorrow, I'm posting the foaling contest.

Good for you! We got 2 inches of snow today.
We've got ice... boo hiss!
Love the Gussie mare...have we (meaning you) decided if she is prego or not?
Can't wait for your babies or baby!!
No baby for Gussie, just Coyote Belle.
I love horses that are sensitive to legs. They're the best as far as I'm concerned. I have one who is like that, but he's a bit arthritic now. His issue was that he was racey in arenas. You really got out there and worked today. It was gorgeous weather and only getting better!
full of P&V weren't they . good girls to settle so nicely and quickly. Too bad Gussie is open, she makes nice babies as I recall, and its always fun to have 2 babies to raise together, but you are going to be one busy cowgirl with all the riding you are going to be doing .You might need a friend to come visit and ride,oh I don't know , Mr Handsome????
Sherry- any time! Pick a weekend, and let's plan it.
Gussie is looking fabulous. Such good girls. I think you saw how nice it is here....not.
