The mares are not inclined to slog through the mud to get to their pasture. Rio won't leave his shelter. I can no longer use the wheelbarrow to shovel poo, as you can see the way to the poo pile is a muddy morass, and I am using the calf sled now.
Beamer steps out of his shelter (the one to the right and not in the picture )only long enough to check on the mares.
Even the trees have tears.
Years ago, as a child I read Little Women and remember one of the main characters, Jo, complaining about being born in November because it was always so dismal and wet.
Louisa May Alcott must have visited Creston in November.

How dismally true!........
looks damp! I loved your writing in this one, but sorry your so soggy and it's unpleasant.
Personally I love your last photo! We're too dry here in my part of Australia so I'll take some of your rain ;)
By the way, I LOVE the header photos on your blog! I hope the sun starts shining for you soon!
Oh I am sorry we are enjoying strange sunshine and warm temps we will probably pay for that later. Keep smiling. B
You poor thing, I hate it when my barn yard is wet and muddy - yuck! And I was feeling down in the dumps as the sun goes behind the mountains before 4:30. At least it has been sunny! ( We could actually use your rain, if you'd like to send it our way!)
well, its no better for me. i was born in february when muck and cold, and snow are there. for me, it felt like a dismal graveyard.
i wish i could have been born in spring or early fall. february is always cold and bleak.
Nothing like mucking through slop :(
yuck! we had fog and frost today which while it is not great for driving is at least pretty
Oh my. I totally know what you are going through. We just had record rainfall and I have never seen anything like it. I have rivers, lakes and flooding like you wouldn't believe right now. It's so bad. No poop scooping here. I feel so bad for my horses. And it isn't stopping anytime soon.
Hope it gets better for you! I'm still dreaming of sunny, warm and dry weather (that'll be in 7 months here). :(
Ugh. That IS dismal.
Just as ugly over here except we have about 3 or 4 in. of snow on top of the mug yuk!!!!!
I guess snow isn't so bad after all. At least its not mud. Although the last couple days it started to melt, so now its super slippery. But I could sure use some sunshine too, its kinda dismal here today as well.
