Issues with blogger are surfacing again. Here is the deal: I cannot stop following blogs- I use the protocol recommended to stop following but it does not work. Now, there aren't any of your blogs that I want to stop following- its the blogs that people delete for whatever reason that blogger doesn't allow me to stop following. Why is that a problem, you say- after all there are no new posts, right? WRONG! Those blogs that are deleted are still out there and their web address becomes available. Now, I have found that most people who want to start a blog are happy to use a web address that they make up. HOWEVER there are unscrupulous sorts out there that want to use a blog address that has been deleted by someone, because the address comes with the previous blog owner's followers- unless that follower is able to stop following that blog. You still with me on this? Confusing isn't it?
What I am finding is that deleted blogs get picked up by people who have what I consider to be objectionable content. This shows up in my reading list, and there is nothing I can do about it. I can't pick and choose which blogs are in my reading list; if I follow a blog, it's new posts show up there. So do the posts of the blogs that my friends have deleted that have been taken over by smutty content. I have been asking blogger for help on this issue for about a year, and have ZERO response from them. So, I'm going over to Wordpress. This may be a little confusing for those of you who have been following me at this web address, but all you have to do is save the new address, it is http://diamondlazyh.wordpress.com/ . It's still called Ride a Good Horse, and over the next few months, I'll be tweaking the look of it and the links on it, I'll get my blogroll on there soon.
I'll leave the comments open on this blog for a while, and once everyone is used to finding me over at Wordpress, I'm going to close off the comments and make this blog private- I will NOT delete it and make it available for some lowlife to hijack.
I hope you all continue to enjoy my posts over on Wordpress.

I tried to copy and paste your new URL into my reading list - but obviously that doesn't work from Word Press to Blogger. How do I follow you now?
I don't think wordpress is any better than blogger. the only thing better than blogger is wordpress's layouts.
I think if you open the link and then save it to your favorites it should work.I know the link works, I tested it. If you open the Wordpress blog, look at the very top on the left, there is a place that says Follow, that should work too.
Already done Shirley! Locked in and rollin`! Shame about Blogger, its the same on mine, took two off, someone got those old blog addresses, and spam came rolling in! Sorted it now, took some time though, and guess what? Blobber(Blogger) never responded!!
I use wordpress and love love love it. Have always had issues with blogger. Following the new url now!
Will switch it over on my blog roll asap
So if you click "stop following this blog" it doesn't actually stop it?
Ok. This is all very confusing to my old brain...but I will be following you on your new site. Thanks!
One question though...do I still sign in using my google account on your new blog?
Whoa! Can't Say You Didn't Try To Make It Work Out...That's Alot Of Info!
Thanks For All Of It Too. When I Convert, I'll Make My Blog Private, Instead Of Canceling Too.
Wonder What Happens If You
Keep It Open, Without Posting?
I'll Put Your New Address In Tomorrow.
I'll truly miss your friendly blogger blog & amazing photos! I didn't know blogs left open were hijacked. One would think the original authors would figure it out, but I'm sure they altered that too. I delete/add blogs through my feed reader.
Michele is right, Wordpress has it's own set's of issues, but much more commercial potential then blogger. I'll try to stay connected...enjoy all your newness; riders, babies, blogs ~ you are one busy gal!
I'm following you now on wordpress. I've been thinking about switching my blogger account over to wordpress (where I have another, non-horse blog) but didn't know how complicated the move would be and I was afraid of losing everything!
How hard has it been to transfer content from blogger to wordpress?
I'll see you over there!
i hate websites that don't really have help but only forums where people try to help each other. GRRRR.
