Fridays for Sale

Just about missed this- thanks for the reminder, Janice!  Ted and I have been talking about our situation here, and we really need to market our horses. Rio

and Nitro are for sale,
and we are going to offer Coyote Belle up for sale too.

You see, with the market the way it is, there really isn't much sense in continuing our breeding operation. You can put great foals on the ground, but if nobody wants them, they are just another horse. So it's time to downscale. I'll ride Gussie, and keep Chickory until she is sound and then offer her for sale again.
Stop over at Own A Morgan & QH to see another good horse for  sale, Janice's good Morgan mare, Mattie.

I've heard comments along these lines from other breeders as well. How sad for you. Rio and Nitro are so good looking. Best of luck.

It sure is tough, I sure would like to get some more babies, but I have been holding off cause too many horses here and pretty hard to sell. Hoping the market does rebound decently soon.

I've always loved Rio, and if any of my horses went caput, I'd be the first in line. You do have wonderful horses and I love to keep up with them.

I think the economy and hay prices have people thinking twice about owning horses. I would love to have a horse IF I had a barn and pasture instead of wooded acres that grow nothing but Whitetail Deer and ticks and raspberry brambles. I hope the right person comes along for your boys:)
