That's looking south; here is looking north:
Whole lotta smoke. They will probably let that fire burn for a bit as it isn't an immediate threat to any communities.
Meanwhile, Clancy continues to improve. Still no sign of an abscess breaking, but I think now that there isn't one and she is just footsore from transitioning to barefoot, and my ride to the river didn't help. The easyboots that I ordered for her are too small, but I will keep them on hand and maybe use them for Josie if they will fit her, or else use them for trading material. I am going to get a pair of Equine Fusion Ultimate boots for Clancy. I do have another pair of easyboots gloves that are a tiny bit big (they fit Beamer) that I can use until I get the other boots.
Here is how she's walking today: the couple of short steps she takes I think are from stepping on the little rocks in her pen.
I'd like to buy a couple more and divvy the hay up between them and hang them in different spots in their pen so they have to walk around more. Not an issue with horses that are used lots, but these two aren't working - yet!

Looks like your girls are wonderful friends! Air Quality looks horrid cannot be good for man or beast:(
"Smoke in the Valley" sounds like a title of a song :) I wonder if the two BFF will eat out of the same net before moving onto the next?! The boots you are getting Clancy look like nice ones. I never did find the right pair for Koda, even with all my research & blogger's help...of course that's a mute point now.
