That is what this full moon is called. I took several photos of it in the last 2 days and it's interesting the differences in my 2 Nikon cameras.
All photos were hand held. First, my D3200 with the 300 zoom. A little harder to keep it still! Shot at 1/100 , the only setting that seemed to work.
This was the best of the bunch
That camera intensified the colour. My Nikon B500 was a little different, it tended to wash out the colour but it gave much clearer shots. It has a 40x zoom and it's my go to camera for moon shots.
This was a quick snap as I headed back to the house, and is the truest colour.
It also brings new life....
We welcome the first foal of the year, out of Shayla's mare Daphne and sired by the paint stallion Gold Bar Tristan. He appears to be a buckskin dun, (dunskin) but may be a bay dun (Same colour but doesn't carry the cream dilute gene. )This colt is the first foal for Daphne and she did a great job! Thanks Shayla, for the photos! I hope to visit him in the next day or so. Her mare, Concho, is officially over 1 year gestation today and still holding her foal hostage. We are really looking forward to that foal, as it will be the first one from her black stallion Jets Givemathrashin.

Oh my!! Jackpot on the color!! Was the dad a paint? I want him!! Haha! I can’t have him. But maybe someone close to me can. Think. Think. Think. 🤔
Congratulations!! ❤️❤️❤️
I love the first moonshot between the branches. Gorgeous.
What a cutie! You got some great moon shots! I saw it a bit ago tonight it has been too snowy and cloudy to see it:)
Love the first moody moon shoot! I shot the moon too (lol) with the hope of getting a shot of it between the pines. I was too waaay cold to play with settings. No trees in my shot.
I usually still try different setting most every time I shoot. SO many endless variables that affect outcome. I am always learning! It is part of what I love about photography.
Great baby/mama photos, what a cutie!! Love the markings.
Wow, he is gorgeous!
Great photos. Amazing how sharp they are for hand held photos. You did good.
The new foal is so cute! Do you have a photo of the stud?
Happy Easter!
Wow, another stunning foal!
Sure makes me long for those days many years ago when we had that anticipation for a new foal!
What a beauty.
