This morning it was pretty dark out at feeding time, but here is what it looked like:
Prettier than mud! A little snow doesn't stop Tess from enjoying chore time with me.
Okay, I posed for you, now let's play ball!
A few days ago I filled up the bird feeders, but no birds showed up. I went and dusted the snow off them this morning...
and an hour or more later, lo and behold! They finally showed up!
I'm happy to see them! There was also a hawk hanging out in one of the trees, he'll have a hard time finding mice now.
The silly mares were hanging out in the pasture, even though they could have been in their nice snug shelter:
But Beamer just stood in his house, nice and dry and looking out at the snowflakes.
Smart boy Beamer- that's what I chose to do today too. Got a good start on decorating the tree, baked my shortbread, and got some house cleaning done- and kept that wood fire going, nice and warm.

Oh how beautiful I must admit I am a little jealous we have rain and mud. I am starting to wonder if I truly live in Canada. Love your pics. B
Pretty , looks like a perfect time to lay low
Looks pretty, but also looks pretty from inside the house :) No blanket for Beamer this winter?
Beautiful, looks like a little piece of heaven.
I'm not riding Beamer this winter, so it's the first time since he was a 2 year old that he won't be blanketed for the winter. Good thing we have a mild winter going on!
we got alot of snow here too. surprising for this area.
So much snow...we are still brown and green here. Lots of rain and mud.
