One of my favorite things is old barns and that was the challenge for today. Had to wait until Saturday so I could use the new camera, so I only got the two barns that are closest to where I live.
Two horses call this one home, it used to be a blacksmith shop/machine shop.
This one is a cattle barn in the spring.

Nice job. I knew you were going to have that first one in there. Everytime I go by there I mean to stop and get a pic but never do.
We have a repurposed barn in the yard (it's getting torn down in the spring), it use to be an old house. I'm like you I love old barns. Great pic's.
I like the machine shop, its neat looking. And best of all both your old barns are still getting used.
The first one looks really good, and very different from what I'm used too.
Congratulations on getting a new camera.
I love old barns too. I wish I could save them all.
your barns have history - i love that! I like the colors you pull out with your shots...
what happens when the next generation goes and takes pictures of pole sheds..? although the red pole sheds from the 80's are now pink in certain areas LOL

Nice! I love old barns - they have such character!!
Interesting location for the second barn, looks like easy water access for the cows..:-)
Great photos! Love old barns, wish we could save them all. I'm very fascinated by the first one!
Great old barns! The second shot is so colorful & picturesque!! New camera? You must be a fast learner, these are so nice and clear!
I love old barns so nice
Both barns certainly have character! Your photos are so beautifully done!
Love that last view..good thing I don't live up there I would be looking out the windows or sitting outside all the time. What kind of new camera did you get? Looks like it takes great photos! :)
Love the pictures. The first barn has a whole lot of character!
Great barns, and great to see that they're still in use
Love the stonework on the first barn. Is that a creek in front of the last barn? Lovely shots. :)
Gorgeous shots in a beautiful landscape, Shirley! I too have a thing for old barns - I love red ones!!!
I hope you're doing well. I love your blog header!
what strikes me most about these photos is the clear, perfect, beautiful, blue sky! also like the photos in your header.
I just love that first barn...it's setting in a beautiful spot! I'd be proud to call that home if I were a horse.
