Good dogs, hot dogs, and hummers

1,2,3, count 'em, three good dogs. They are so good when we go check cows. They heel , they lay down and stay put, and when we have to move a critter they are learning to flank. There's no fly-by cheap shots or barking. Good dogs!
Speaking of dogs, yesterday we took them to the river to cool off. They  all love to fetch sticks thrown into the river but unless we hold Tess by the collar, the other two don't get to retrieve.
Sammi- always intense.

Just throw the dang stick, wouldya?
Coming back from the river, we stopped for this photo with the brilliant color of the canola field next to some red fescue.
This one is going into the annual calendar photo contest that our bank does.
The hummingbirds come to the feeders at dusk, I've yet to get a daytime photo of them.

I've been trying for some sunset photos for next week's Sunday Stills challenge- not a cloud in the sky last night, but tonight it's more interesting, hope we get some color.

I love all the pictures! That one defiantly is one for a calendar!!! The hummingbird ones are really nice even if you don't see the colors!!

Great shots of the dogs and the hummers, mine dive bomb me whe the feeder is low, but vanish when I grab a camera
