Had a little help from Beamer and Reba to improve this one though.
The next day, we got some evening clouds, and I spent a lot of time outside waiting for just the right light to do justice to the beauty of the setting sun in this lovely valley.
These clouds were parked over Idaho, and drifted off to the east, over the Skimmerhorn range.
Looking north, the mountains to the west fade into the distance beneath pastel skies....
that darkened as the sun dropped lower , and faded to black.

LOVE the one with Beamer and Reba, that is one great shot!!!:-)
Great shots but I'm with Ed, love the Beamer Reba shot.
They're all very good. The Beamer and Reba one is extra special. I'm with you about not getting up at 5 am.
I like the last shot the best, but they are are really good.
Love it! Fifth one is my fav :)
Just beautiful! I love the sunsets,I was the same I had gotten up at 6 and the sun was coming over the trees and I was too lazy to walk out past the barn to get a better shot of the sunrise.
horse, dog and sun I LOVE because I am fascinated by the ability to get several elements into one shot which makes them all greater than the sum of their entire parts. Wish I was better at that!
Oooh, good photos. But my favorite is the Beamer and Reba shot.
I like the reflction of the first photo.
My sunrise was late, because we are having winter. Otherwise, I too, would not rise early to take the photos.
I love all of them, really! My favorite though is of Beamer and Reba!
Very cool shots! I love sunrise/sunset pics but I missed out this week again on the sunday stills.
They're amazing. I love the reflection in the first shot.
beautiful pictures thanks for sharing
I'd say you did a great job, as always. Like I always say, your scenery is just spectacular. Hope you're doing well, Shirley.
That one of beamer is a calendar shot for sure!
