We had our first snowflakes today- just enough to put the fear of winter in me. Lasted only 10 minutes though! The horses are feeling the chill in the air, and it's making Gussie quite frisky, she did a lot of rippin' around today when I turned Rio out with the mares this afternoon.
Speaking of Rio, he is starting to look like a horse and not a baby.
He has lost that growthy ribby look and I think he just gets better looking every day!
Don't you think he looks a lot like his sister, Janice's horse, Jazz? (Except for the white!)

Fantastic looking horses!
It got cold here today too! Brrrr!
when i rode the bus to bc, and had a temporary 5 min stop in canmore, banff, and a few other towns, Iam telling you it was extremely cold! bitterly cold wind made you chilled to the bone. am really happy not to be in alberta this winter!!
as soon as we hit places like kamloops, merrit, hope, was really warm. when we got into cocquitlam, it was warm and breezy:) then when i got home here to port moody, green grass and flowers! :D
boy, aim sooo not going to miss the brutal alberta cold and snow! :D

I love to watch the horses when they get frisky! Rio sure is starting to look like a horse and a nice one at that.
Hi Shirley, All the four legged kids look good and fuzzy...LOL Wow...Rio is now a baby any more, what a little man.
How have you been? Thanks for all the nice comments, finely getting around to get caught up with everyone.
Your photos in your October 26 and 28 post are awesome.......
Yep, he's a stud, love the blond locks..;-)
Rio looks great, especially in the last photo. Glad you kept him, fun to watch him grow up.
we had our first snowflakes yesterday - wheeeeee! they fell on and off but didn't stick down here, though the mountains got a good dusting! from where I'm situated I can see the neighbor's horses and not ours... the neighbor's horses were romping and frisking about just like yours! winter's here - yayyyyyyyy! Rio is becoming quite handsome.

Your horses are beautiful!
He is turning into quite a looker. I love his mane..very pretty:)
His head is getting more pronounced and beautiful. I just love pictures of him. He's wonderful!!
I understand how you feel because we just got our first snow 2 days ago and our horses are all worked up, even our puppies got all excited.
I love that picture of Gussie's butt all up in the air, that's funny! Woo hoo!
I was thinking, as I was drooling over the picture of Rio, if he would've known about him when I was around 8 or so (that's about when I got that incurable horse disease), I would have been begging and pleading to my folks relentlessly to buy him, he's just wonderful! It's been such a treat watching him grow and mature.
