Moving on and looking back
Well, I sold Nitro today, he is going to a pair of ladies who are partnering on him, Charlotte and Veronica. He will be living in Nakusp B.C., a lovely scenic place on the Arrow Lakes. He will get classic English training before he is trained for barrels, and will possibly stay a stallion for the start.
Soon he will be looking back at Creston and his baby days as he starts his new life, they are picking him up on September 15th. So this post, I'll take you back to the day he was born, up to the present.
It was Good Friday, and he was born at 5 minutes before midnight, on a full moon night.
He was a vigorous baby, up quickly, and no problem finding the breakfast bar, and learning how to get those long legs under him . He surprised us with the amount of white on him, as his parents don't have much.
It wasn't long before he showed us that he was born to run.
and run....
and run....
Although he loves to zoom, he still would strike a pose for me now and then.
Everyone who saw him loved him- especially Chickory, bless her maternal heart.
So our little boy is weaned and going soon, and I sure hope to keep up with him as time goes on.
We will miss his cuteness!
It's a good thing that there will be another sibling in the spring. And 2 other ones too- cuteness x 3 next year.

I'm so happy... and sad... for you. You raised a great colt and he is on his way to new adventures and new learning, but how hard to say, "good-bye".
I loved the retrospective of his life - so cool!
That is good news, but still kinda sad to see him go. My uncle has a cabin in Nakusp, sure pretty area there!
Good news..I know you want him to have a good home..but it will be sad to see him go. Three foals next year..now that is something to look forward to!! :)

Omg....This so made me cry!!! You have no idea how much this lil handsome fella stole my heart from the first time I looked at his pic's!! I can not spend the time that a baby needs right now,so Charlotte will take him to her 200 acres on Arrow lakes which is a very beautiful place for him to grow and he will be SO loved and taken care of!! I will be traveling back and forth a lot to see him and RIDE him,am so looking forward to that day!!! Will post lot's of pic's!! Congrats on the sale Shirley...it's great when they find homes but kinda sad too.Excellent post. It sounds by like he has landed in a really good place.

Congrats on finding Nitro a good home! Sounds like he'll have plenty of room to run, get training and be loved - doesn't get better then that. Hope you get future updates on him to share.

awe nuts! as happy as I am for you and him, I had a little teary moment reading this and looking at the pics. Silly old softie I have become! Congrats , that little man is gonna be a star
He's so beautiful! I'm not sure I could part with him. I get so attached.
I'm sure he will have a great place to live, I'm kinda bummed out we will not have any more zoom zoom pics but thus is life..:-)))
