You can see in this photo that he is in a growth spurt (please ignore the muddy legs!)
We looked at all the horses and when the mares discovered that Veronica came bearing gifts (apples, carrots) she got mobbed. Gussie of course, was front and center. Big pest!
This morning was a little foggy- for me, that means photo op! There is a short window for photos because the sun quickly scatters the fog.

Whatcha doin'? Is it edible?
No Chickory, it isn't edible. Now move so I can get another photo.
It didn't take long before the sun turned everything to gold- including the boys when I turned them out.
Rio's colour always amazes me, he can look completely different, depending on the light.

The new owner sure looks like she and Nitro are going to be great partners! I love That foggy morning with the tree and hay bales!
Nice photos Shirley.Oh by the way no thanks to the spider reminder.
Shirley, in my opinion, that bale pic needs to get entered into the calendar contest for 2013! As for the spiders, I kinda laughed at all the people who said "ewww" to spiders! Ok, I do have to admit that when I feel one crawl down my shirt I get a bit freaked out :)
Nitro has a loving owner I think. Love your horse shots. that last one really caught my eye.
She looks like a nice lady..I hope she knows how lucky she is! Loved your foggy photos:)
nice selection of faces : )
cheers
Rio almost looks like a copper penney in the first photo!
Rio definitely has a metallic sheen in that picture! Amazing!!
Nitro is going to be soo happy in his new home, you can see how smitten his new mom is with him...
