There is no doubt about it, quality sells.
When I listed Moondance, I expected it would be at least a couple of months before we got a serious offer on him.
Boy was I wrong. A couple of days, not a couple of months.
We got an offer for exactly what I wanted for him, from a lady who has some pretty good horses, including a stallion who was shown by Nick Dowers. You can find her on Facebook by searching for Willis Ranch, Carnduff Saskatchewan. I can't link there as I no longer have a Facebook account. Our Diamond Lazy H facebook page is administered by Shayla now.
I had a nice chat with his new owner. She wants a big horse as most of theirs are smaller cow bred horses, that he will cross well on to give them some size for roping and ranching. Lots of cowboys in that area that will be future customers for Moondance foals! She said she always wanted to ride a big horse of her own.
And I got what I was hoping for- a home that will do their best to keep him a stallion and promote him.
In the sadness of the last couple of days, this was a bright spot.
Gotta admit, I am going to miss him.
Here is a You Tube video of Nick Dowers riding their stallion, Smarter Image.

iam glad he is going to a home you approve of. :)
What a great home!! And that Smarter Image is amazing!! I can't wait to watch Moondance grow there!!
I'm so glad he's going to a good home (though I would expect nothing less). I'm slow getting back to the blog, so there's obviously a lot of posts I need to get caught up on, but even I'm going to miss this one :)
Aww I am so glad Moondance is going to a good home. :)
Congrats, on finding a home where your boy can shine and continue the Beamer legacy you have created. Not surprised Moondance got snatched up so quickly. He is the whole package. I liked the buyers page on Facebook, hope to see future updates on him. Looks like a great home and opportunity for Moondance to be seen as you saw him. As hard as it will be to let him go (and it must be hard) my understanding is that is what breeders strive for. Correct me if I am wrong.
Going to miss him for sure, but I am glad you found just what you wanted for him. Now to go follow their page.
