March came in like a lamb and went out like a lamb, as is usual here. What a beautiful sunny day today!
I managed to get a moon shot this morning as the waning gibbous moon lowered into the western sky.
I must say, I am happy with the moon setting on my camera!
Then I turned around and looked to the east and caught the lovely morning colours.
No editing needed there! It was breezy today but warm with it.
Ted was busy today, he installed a pump in the well for our personal use, namely the horse water and any other water use we may need at the barn, like horse baths or washing vehicles. It is powered by a generator he bought with his tax return.

Now we don't have to bother the neighbours with using stuff that goes on their power bill. It will get a fair bit of use this year as Ted is building me a "cabin" for my camping out adventures at foaling time. More on that as it progresses; I will wait until it looks good and then do a full post on it.
Meanwhile, Beamer and Jayne are doing great; enjoying some time in the grazing paddock every day and soaking up the sunshine.
Sadly, our gestapo government decided to shut everything down again, so no Mass in Church for Easter. I expected that. Everything- restaurants and bars, sports etc. I am so tired of all this.

Yeah for a generator! Sorry to hear that things are being closed again, that may happen here too sooner than later...so frustrating. :(
Sorry for the shut down. Things are slowly opening here, but it is hard to trust that anything will actually happen as it seems to be one step forward and nineteen steps back each time. My husband loves to go racing at the dirt track down in town and we are keeping our fingers crossed. Never got to use his season pass last year, alas.
Seems odd to open church, only to shut it down so quickly. So sorry!!
Beautiful sky pics! I like the hint of what looks like snow on the mountain tops. Nice hefty generator. Can't wait to hear/see more about Ted's new project, sounds like a man on a mission. A foaling watch cabin hide-a-way, what a great idea! Curious to see if it will be multipurpose and used for other things, like perhaps your art. Could be a nice place to draw, with a drop down table top. Guess I will have to be patient to find out what Ted creates for you!!
Beautiful pictures! A generator is always useful. We have a few for when the power goes out, which is often, and it really comes in handy for water for the barn. Bet your new cabin will look great and get a lot of use.
Beautiful morning sky, and cool moon shot. I will be interested to see the cabin when you deem it good enough. We have started going to a nondenominational church that has chosen to ignore the mandates from the government in favor of the mandate from a higher power.
Government doesn’t like to give back power. Power is their aphrodisiac.
That said, a generator is a lovely thing! March has been very nice, and we haven’t had to use ours. The windstorm they predicted wasn’t as bad as they thought. Yay!
April has started out equally glorious.
I’m curious. Do your Provence’s have anything approaching the sovereignty of our states? Our red states are leading the way on restoring freedom, and that puts pressure on blue states. It also serves as a control group.
Linda- we have a modicum of freedom of political action. If the conservatives, similar to your Republicans, would have won the election here more common sense would have prevailed. However, the liberals have been in power (Democrats) for the last 2 terms and have effectively neutered our society. Backed by the other socialist party, the New Democratic Party aka NDP who sway the balance of policy by who they side with in Parliament. Each Province has its own Premier who pretty much toes the party line. Unfortunately, ours is NDP so we have all kinds of socialist problems including a Health Officer who is anti religion.
You will never regret a generator. And that’s a beauty.
