Kai - day 28- so much better!

Today was a good day.
For one thing, Kai got to meet his younger full brother, Nitro.
Nitro lives just down the road, he is 2 1/2 now, and his owner wants Shayla to train him. So, we brought him here and worked him in the round pen. I'll leave that story to Shayla, if she wants to blog about it. Here is a photo of the 2 boys together:

He sure is a pretty boy- and he stands just over 15 hands, at 2 yrs old, so will probably grow at least another inch. Here are a couple of photos of him in action:

Nitro is a full brother to Kai, Rio, and Jazz. 

Anyway- back to Kai! He was so good on the longe line that after only a few minutes, Shayla climbed on...

He remembered all his lessons from yesterday, and she had no trouble getting him to lope.








He was such a good boy, soft eyed and willing. So today was a short session for him- and he earned it- good boy Kai!
Tomorrow we are going to Janice's so that Shayla can do body work on Jazz- Kai's full sister- and to deliver the auction items I picked up for Janice to put in her store, a roll top desk and an antique wash stand.  Stay tuned for Jazz photos!
I think Sunday, I will haul Kai to a local arena, we'll haul Shayla's mare and ride together. Should be fun!
