Little Mr. Handsome isn't so little any more; I'm guessing he is very close to 14 hands, and I'll try to get him measured in the next day or so. We had the farrier out on Saturday, and he was a good boy.
He has good feet and nice straight legs- please excuse the muddy socks! All that remains of his leg wound is the little scar that you can see on his left hind.
I put him in the round pen so I could get close enough to get some decent action photos.
The border collies had to get in on the action too. Imagine that!
I had a little too much zoom in the next photo, but Rio is hamming it up for the camera just like his daddy does. And no, that big boat in the background isn't ours! Someone rents storage space here.
I took a little video too, although I like the still shots better, at least you can see what lovely movement Rio has.
Can't wait to see the next foal, I hope it turns out to be as beautiful as big brother Rio.

I LOVE him!!! His trot looks so smoothe!!!! Riding him should be a dream!
He is fancy! Too bad you filly wasn't born this morning ( I really wanted to be winner winner chicken dinner! LOL!)...then you could compare their baby pictures!! (0:
He is a beautiful mover. I love the third picture. It's almost as if he's asking, "Am I doing it right?"
I love your new header. Maybe one day I'll get more up to date. LOL
I am jealous you are on foal watch. Boy do I miss that. Can't wait to see your new little one. My computer locked up so I couldn't see the video of Rio but can tell by the pics he's a pretty fancy horse. That must make you pretty darn proud.
Also just noticed the pic of Beamer at Cardston. That's pretty darn cool. I hope some day to ride a reiner, even if I only get to do it once. It's high on my bucket list.
I could stare at the first photo all day long. He's so dang pretty!
Rio sure is doing great! He is one handsome fellow!
Beautiful boy - can't wait to see how he matures and develops - and I love his soft eye!
He would look good in my trailer as it makes it's way to Texas! LOL
He has a happy tail...he lifts it when he moves...that's nice...
He is going to be a show stopper!
I agree with everyone, but especially Judy! I just love that little tail up in the air; it brings a big smile to my face. I can wait to see and PET the new little one. I'm excited to be heading your way soon :)
He sure is looking good! I too had a laugh at the tail!
He is a pretty boy..not quite as handsome as his Dad though. I enjoyed the video he keeps the Border Collies moving:)
WOW! He is looking fantastic, I can't believe its been a year already, time flies..:-)
Rio is getting big! Great photo's & video, having fun with the dogs. Looks like he'll be a smooth ride.
so fun to watch him run! But honestly, the dogs kind of stole the show from the backgound. They were cracking me up!
I'm sure your new one will be just as handsome or pretty (him or her)...Beamer hasn't had a fail yet!!
