I'm so proud of my Beamer, he gave one tiny little start, and then just stood there while Foose inspected my grooming job. Yes, Foose, I know his hip is still dirty!
Make yerself at home, why dontcha!
Uh, Foose, I'd like to ride sometime today! He stayed there until he decided to use Beamer's withers as a scratching post- Beamer pinned his ears and stepped sideways, and Foose jumped back onto the hitching rail.
Today, Foose gets his boy bits off.
Yes, Foose, those ones! He's 6 months old now, so off to the vet this morning. After a snack on Tess's tail, of course!

How cute! Do you get to ride everyday?
cindy
I had a cat named Rowdy that would do the same thing ! amazed that somew of the young stock never offered to buck him off. Hope all goes well with Foose' surgery
LOL...what is it about horses and cats? I had a cat that almost (almost is the important part here) jumped onto the back of one of the new arrivals here. She thought better of it, though. I wonder what would have happened? Some crazy flight through the air dismount, undoubtedly!
Oh oh, I was wondering if he'd start scratching. It was probably lucky for Foose that Beamer's head was tied tight enough that he couldn't bite or buck.
I love the 2nd pic with Foose stretched out and comfy looking.
Around here the cats don't jump on the horses, instead the horses pick up the cats.
Now that is a great shot!!!! I also enjoyed the shots at Own a Morgan of the sheep wrangling, very cool..:-))
That horse is amazing great post.
Beamer is a beauty! I also think foose likes him partner!
Cindy, I try to ride as much as possible, weather and my job permitting.
Nuz Muz, Beamer wasn't too upset, more irritated. He didn't try to buck him off, just tried to get him off by wiggling. I don't think he would have tried to bite even if he wasn't tied up. I put cats on my horses backs when I have them in hand, not tied up, to desensitize them for just this sort of situation.
Cdncowgirl, I want photos of your horses picking up the cats!
How cute! I have seen a lot of birds on horses backs, never a cat. Dusty loves sniffing the cats at the stable when they are in the arena.
That is just too cute!! Our cat Morgan has almost jumped on our horses backs too, but changed her mind at the last minute. I've always wondered how they would react if she actually did do it!
Goofy cats! Very cute series of shots.
