When we got back, Sammi headed straight for "her" tub, and laid down in it,
Having a drink while she cools off
Checking to make sure she isn't missing anything....
And all set to go again!

Before all the excitement...
I took Beamer for a meander around the hayfield yesterday. Accompanied by the collies, we went and checked out the overflow canal, where there were a few groups of ducks, that were too quick to hide or fly away for me to photograph. The mamas and ducklings paddled into the shelter of overhanging shrubbery, hiding as I rode by, and the drakes flew busily away. The dogs were investigating all the scents left by the neighborhood coyotes, and I found a nice splash of color to photograph.

Looks like Smmi figured out that tub thing pretty quick. As for your previous post Ouch....Ouch ......ouch.Tell Ted I'm feeling for him.....Ouch. You are right you just never know. Go to my blog later and I will show you something I never ....ever thought I would be doing.
Winston has an old bathtub he likes to cool down in , but Skeeter seems to think he is a cat , and water will meeeelttt hiimmm
I use a cheap plastic tobbagen/sled like thing and fill that up with water for Fred hoping someday he'll get in, but he won't go near it, and the cat just drinks the water, he gets closer to it than Fred. Oh well.
Looks like it was a very nice day for a ride! (before all hell broke loose any way)
That color is so pretty to see on a ride!
Sammi dog does know how to cool off best!
