Sunday Stills -best shot of 2010

This was tough, having to narrow it down to the best shot. There were some I liked because of the content but they weren't technically the best shot, like some of the horse shots. And interesting ones like the barbwire with the flies hiding in the shade on the bottom of it. And beautiful things, like the cherry blossoms, that I can almost smell just looking at the photos; But I think my best over all shot was this one, from the rule of thirds challenge:
But it's not my favorite one! This is my favorite one:
From the black and white challenge. Just sooooo cute!

Very nice, I didn't know if it was just strictly for Sunday Stills shots or of all posts. You had some fantastic ones of Beamer too!

I agree with Lisa these are great but the ones of Beamer are superb..:-))

Ed, I looked through my Sunday Stills shots for Beamer photos, but the best ones of him weren't in Sunday Stills.

Totally cute puppies...but I have to say I like the peaceful bench tree shot more. :)

Both wonderful shots, but I am a pushover for puppy faces.

Both really nice but hey I have to go with the puppies...I am such a pushover.I had to take what I could get cause of tech problems, my choices were not first second or even third but what the hey.OMG those little faces.

The first shot is perfect..but I love those pups..they made me smile..and any photo that makes me smile is a great one! I went through all my photo archives and picked my best shot..and my best was not a Sunday Stills Challenge Photo..I tend to hold my best ones back sometimes..for a perfect moment..sick I know. :)

The top shot is really, really nice, but I was sure there'd be a Beamer pick :-).

Great choices Shirley! I didn't stick to my SS shots either...not sure if that's right or wrong. The pups are just too cute, but the rule of thirds shot is really nice.

Wishing you a very happy, healthy and prosperous New Year. It's been wonderful to get to know you and all your critters over the years...cheers to another great year of blogging!

I don't think we had to stick to SS shots for this challenge. I liked your choices, but I REALLY liked the Beamer shots the best. :)

Happy New Year. Great shots although I though there would be at least on of the Beamer. I see you did a WHOLE blog on the Best of B. All great too!

The pups are adorable, love the eye shine in the photo! Wishing you a fabulous New Year!

Flowerweaver, that's one of the reasons I chose that photo; also good focus, depth of field, as well as interesting subject and emotional impact.

I LOVE your "Rule of Thirds" photo. Would be an awesome calendar photo.
You can almost feel the warm sunshine and smell the grass... I'd sit under that tree with an apple and a good book! And those dark clouds, a storm coming in?

the first one is AMAZING! Looks like a poster print you'd buy in a store!

CDN, it is a calender photo. It was picked as the cover shot for the local bank's calender. That is the morning mist, and the dark area is the mountains in the background.
