As the sun was setting yesterday, I couldn't resist taking photos in the beautiful evening light. This week's Sunday Stills is pets, so I was getting a couple of dog photos, and thought about how long it's been since I got some good shots of the fillies. Sparkle and Velvet are growing rapidly, and are nearly as tall as Chickory, who seems to have stopped growing up and is bulking up instead.
Sparkle is still reserved, but is starting to let her curiosity take over. I was trying to get some photos of Velvet, and next thing I know, both Sparkle and Chickory are tugging on my jacket.
Velvet was basking in the sun, not at all inclined to get up; in fact she let me sit on her as she lay there. She is such a mellow girl.
The sun started sinking behind the mountain, and the temperature was dropping too, but I couldn't go in without a couple of parting shots.....

well my dear sister, i hope your ready for winter because its going to hit hard today, and i think creston is going to get a blast of it as well. we are doomed to get 20 centis of snow today with wind gusts up to 50 kilometers. enjoy! NOT! our brother is going to florida.. wonder if he has an extra ticket or two...
Ahhh, now that I don't miss from Canada. They're calling for a cold front here too. It might get down into the teens(Celsius that is). Brr. Better dig out my sweaters.
